What a fantastic weekend of gradings kickboxing and karate from all age groups.
Saturday saw our kickboxers starting with juniors, many of who were grading for the first time. It’s great to see youngsters working hard and showing off their skills – they worked really hard and it was a really good grading to take.
The young today get a bad preess – people should look at our students to see there are many good kids around.
Next up were adult low grades and this was a really busy one, with many of our lady kickboxers grading for the first time too. Everyone worked hard but still with a smile.
Finally on Saturday were the high grades and they were really put through their paces. Working through that mental and physical tiredness is what it’s about as well as syllabus techniques and combinations.
Sunday saw grading from 9am to 6pm, with all grades from the young white brlts (age 4) to our adult brown belts.
Every grading was fantastic to be a part of. The effort, energy, focus and behaviour was outstanding and the techniques, combinations and katas amazing throughout the day!!!!!
Gradings are about showing what you’ve learnt in lessons, and putting everything you have into them, and each snd every student did this. You should all be very proud, Mr & Mrs Walker snd sll the instructors are. What a great grading weekend to finish off the year!!!
At the academy last week we were working really hard preparing for gradings, but still managed 5 minutes of fun for the kids by doing our version of crab foshing!!!!
We also saw the lasrlt of the 6 week fitness bootcamp – lots of sweat and fun….watch out for the next one being announced shortly.
Next week…… it’s challenge week – £1 donation to Yorkshire Childrens Trust – pick an instructor and a challenge!!!!
Chrstmas Party on Sunday at Wakefield HQ.
and some great lesson plans
See you in classes
