Last weekend we had our alternate karate gradings on Saturday and Kick boxing gradings on Sunday.
The alternate karate gradings were really good. Everyone focused and worked hard. Fantastic gradings considering the length of time (1 hour) with age ranges from 4 to adult.
Kick boxing gradings were a really good standard overall. The first grading of the day was low grade juniors – 41 young children on the mats and they managed to work hard and focus despite the young age group – well done everyone!!!
Next up were high grade juniors- only 2 on the mats as many are doing the alternates, both young boys had a great attitude.
Adult white belts were next. Again a little quiet but great techniques on show considering the level if belt being tested.
Low grade adults were nice and busy, with 4 going for pre dan also starting their gruelling double grading with all techniques and combinations full power on the bags and triple exercises.
Last grading of the day high grade adults. Fantastic work rate and energy – also those going for pre dan continued the hard work with no break in between!!!!
Well done all who graded. Keep up the hard work and don’t forget to work on fitness and other specific areas identified outside of the academy.
Coming up we have alternate kick boxing gradings this Saturday and karate gradings Sunday. Week 7 of fitness bootcamp this Thursday, academy closes on 20th December and re-opens 6th January, kid’s Christmas disco on 21st December, new 6 week bootcamp starts 16th January, training raffle all January with some fantastic prizes on offer.
Have a great week everyone.
